UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND RESEATS SEASON TICKET HOLDERS WITH NEW ERA TICKETS
November 27, 2013, EXTON, PA - The University of Rhode Island in collaboration with the Global Spectrum managed Ryan Center Box Office, recently activated a fan-focused online season ticket holder reseating process through New Era Tickets, the technology driven, full service ticketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor. The process enabled all University of Rhode Island Men’s Basketball season ticket holders, and those that placed a deposit, the opportunity to select their own seat locations for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
New Era Tickets tailored the ticketing technology of Paciolan and developed a unique limited-use password deposit event to support the tenure-based season ticket reseating campaign. More than 300 individual promotional codes were created, each having one to three passwords to support specific ticket holders. Each season ticket holder seat selection time was set based upon annual donor society level, cumulative priority points, and total ranking.
“The simplified process provided season ticket holders the opportunity to take ownership of their seating assignments and offered three seating selection options – including online, in-person, and mail or fax,” said Maureen McCarthy, Director of Ticket Operations for the Ryan Center.
The successful campaign led to more than 40% of season ticket holders choosing seats at a scheduled time on-line at home, while 16% selected seats at their designated times using an assisted box office computer.
“New Era Tickets easily enables customization of all ticketing activities and processes, “ said Steve Geib, Vice President of Operations for New Era Tickets. “We know that an easier and better fan experience leads to both faster renewals and increased revenue.”
