Feb 05, 2014: Santa Ana Star Center Renews Partnership With New Era Tickets

February 5, 2014, EXTON, PA Due to outstanding service and support of ticketing solutions, the City of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Global Spectrum, operators of Santa Ana Star Center, today renewed their partnership with New Era Tickets to provide full-service ticketing for all events held at the Santa Ana Star Center. The City of Rio Rancho and Global Spectrum chose New Era Tickets based on the company’s ability to offer the Santa Ana Star Center more control over their brand, fees, and data – which resulted in substantially greater revenue for the facility.

“New Era Tickets empowers the Santa Ana Star Center to maximize the customer experience, by continuing to offer our customers great ticket purchasing options,” said Global Spectrum's Gunnar Fox, General Manager for the Santa Ana Star Center.  “With New Era Tickets, we can offer unique ticket packages at appropriate pricing to meet our needs and our community, and also incorporate other local businesses with branding sponsorship opportunities.”

“New Era Tickets is keenly aware of each venue’s needs, as well as their customers',” said New Era Tickets President Fred Maglione. “We’ve created a new, best-in-class online interactive seat map specifically for the New Mexico Stars’ matches to help fans quickly select the exact seats they prefer at the Santa Ana Star Center.”

The Santa Ana Star Center is strategically located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico – just 10 miles from Albuquerque and an approximately 30-minute drive from the state’s largest airport, Sunport International Airport.  The venue is part of a larger “City Center” project, which included a new City Hall, Hewlett Packard, University of New Mexico, Central New Mexico Community College and UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center and was developed at a cost of $47MM.  The 7,500-seat multi-purpose arena – which opened in October of 2006— hosts the Lone Star Football League’s (LSFL) New Mexico Stars, and a wide-range of concerts, sporting events, conferences, and cultural programs.

The Santa Ana Star Center is well suited for a variety of large-scale performances by offering more than 165,000 square feet of extended floor space, 500 club seats, 31 private luxury suites, and 1,400 parking spaces.  With a flexible setup and retractable seating, the Santa Ana Star Center is a perfect setting for boxing, basketball, motocross, rodeos, ice shows, concerts, and theatrical productions.  For 2013, New Era Tickets’ sister company, Global Spectrum, helped facilitate 169 successful events with an attendance of more than 280,000 at the Santa Ana Star Center.

New Era Tickets enables convention centers, meeting facilities, and sports and entertainment venues to take back control of their ticketing services.  The ticketing solution, powered by New Era Tickets’ sister company Paciolan, provides complete control over a variety of items including customer transaction fees, branding, and customer data.  New Era Tickets supports each customized ticketing solution with seasoned 24/7 client service teams.

Both New Era Tickets and Global Spectrum are subsidiaries of the internationally recognized sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.
