SAINT JOSEPH'S UNIVERSITY RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH TWO COMCAST- SPECTACOR SUBSIDIARIES TO INCREASE TICKET SALES AND TO ENCHANCE CUSTOMER TICKET PURCHASING EXPEREINCE
August 8, 2013, EXTON, PA - In an effort to further enhance the customer experience as it relates to purchasing tickets to see the Saint Joseph's University Men's and Women's basketball teams, the university today renewed its ticketing services and fan marketing automation solutions with two Comcast-Spectacor subsidiaries - New Era Tickets and FanOne Marketing.
Competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Saint Joseph’s University’s Men’s and Women’s basketball teams compete at the 4,200 seat multi-purpose Michael J. Hagan Arena.
"The partnership with New Era Tickets and FanOne Marketing continues to add operational and convenience benefits to Saint Joseph’s Athletics, the university’s students, alumni, and fans," said Don DiJulia, Saint Joseph’s University’s Athletic Director. “Enabling student ID cards as a ticketing medium supports dual goals of data consolidation for the athletics program, and convenience for the student.’’
New Era Ticket’s supports Saint Joseph’s University’s various channels of ticketing sales and distribution – at the campus box office, via phone, and online. With the Paciloan-powered platform, paper tickets are optional, and the students are offered the convenience of having their ID cards used and scanned for entry. New Era Ticket’s technology can allocate tickets, and a variety of other items, to student IDs or fan loyalty cards.
"University athletics and venues cater to the same fans as professional sporting and entertainment events," said Steve Geib, New Era Tickets’ VP of Operations. “While the student ID cards are currently used only for paperless ticketing, there are also opportunities to integrate and support concessions, parking, and merchandise sales.’’
New Era Tickets advances ticketing technology and services for a variety of university venues and college athletic programs, including The Liacouras Center at Temple University, Constant Convocation Center at Old Dominion University, Ryan Center at The University of Rhode Island, Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center, and Lehigh University.
