Mar 06, 2012: Portland Center for the Performing Arts Selects Tickets West and New...

March 6, 2012, EXTON, PA – In a deal that is unique for the industry, and in partnership with TicketsWest, New Era Tickets has won a new high-profile ticketing contract for the Pacific Northwest.

Portland Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) will be switching to a Paciolan-powered platform (the same system utilized by TicketsWest and New Era Tickets). New Era Tickets will lead marketing, implementation and support, while TicketsWest will provide the retail outlet support for the venture.

Friendly rivals and close friends since 1987, Fred Maglione of New Era Tickets and Jack Lucas of TicketsWest courted PCPA knowing that the combined services offered by both organizations would be an unbeatable proposal.

“The act of coming together to present this proposal to the organization was as important as the actual fulfillment of the contract,” Fred Maglione, CEO of New Era Tickets said  “The assets of each organization combined created a proposal that none of the other agencies, not even the incumbent, could match.”

PCPA is the region’s premier performing arts venue management organization, and is home to the Pacific Northwest’s and Portland’s finest music, theater, dance and entertainment.  PCPA manages the Keller Auditorium, the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and the Antoinette Hatfield Hall, which houses the Dolores Winningstad and Newmark theatres and Brunish Hall. PCPA operates under the guidance of the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission, a subsidiary of Metro, and is the fifth largest center for performing arts in the United States, hosting over 900 shows and 1,000,000 visitors annually.
