May 20, 2013: New Era Tickets Teams-Up With NY Cosmos To Support Newtown Parent...


May 20, 2013, EXTON, PA – New Era Tickets, the technology driven, full-service ticketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, is teaming up with North American Soccer League’s (NASL) NY Cosmos and sister company Paciolan to support the fund-raising efforts by Newtown Pride FC and Newtown Parent Connection Inc. by donating ticketing services for the exhibition games being held June 18, 2013.
Newtown Parent Connection, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving Newtown, CT and surrounding areas since 1993. The mission of the organization is to educate and empower the community in the prevention of substance abuse and to embrace families in crisis. 

Newtown Pride FC is a soccer club is on a mission to help its shattered community recover and transform – making Newtown feel like home again: safe and well.

The benefit will host two matches to support the ongoing efforts of the Newtown Parent Connection: Major League Soccer’s (MLS) New England Revolution versus the Player Development League’s (PDL) Real Boston Rams, followed by the NASL’s NY Cosmos versus the Connecticut Soccer League’s (CSL) Newtown Pride FC.

The financial support will assist The Newtown Parent Connection, Inc. with a variety of their goals, specifically targeting long-term support for Newtown families impacted by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School this past December:

  • Expand NPC’s educational programming with an emphasis on substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Offer current, comprehensive resources for the community to promote mental health and well-being
  • Continue to develop parent-to-parent and peer-to-peer support for individuals in crisis
  • Provide an accessible location to accommodate our current and growing services
