January 22, 2014, EXTON, PA - In an effort to enhance the customer experience and increase ticket revenue, the City of Miami Beach, and Global Spectrum, operators of the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) and Colony Theatre, today selected New Era Tickets to activate full-service ticketing and technology support for all ticketed events at the MBCC and performances held at the Colony Theatre. The City of Miami Beach and Global Spectrum chose New Era Tickets based on the company’s industry expertise, quality of service, and highly customizable ticketing technology.

The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is located in the heart of South Beach and boasts over 1,000,000 square feet of flexible space. The multi-purpose facility spanning four city blocks of the historic South Beach/Art Deco District includes over 500,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, more than 100,000 sq. ft. of versatile pre-function area space, 70 meeting rooms comprised of 127,000 sq. ft., and a uniquely designed skywalk that features a center pod with a dining & cocktail lounge, and an unrestricted view of all four exhibit halls. 

A gorgeously renovated Art Deco gem, Colony Theatre hosts a variety of dance, music, theater, film, and comedy performances and has an intimate capacity of 415 – uniquely offering every attendee a seat with a perfect view to the complete stage.

The MBCC recently boasted over $35 million in continuing upgrades to completely renovate all restrooms, and install a state-of-the-art telecommunications and networking infrastructure to support events with advanced technological needs.  For 2013, New Era Tickets’ sister company, Global Spectrum, helped facilitate 155 successful events generating 609 event days at the MBCC and Colony Theatre.
