ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ENABLES BRANDING AND OUTLET SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

January 29, 2014, EXTON, PA - As a result of ongoing exceptional service and superior ticketing technology, the Polk County Board of Supervisors, and Global Spectrum, operators of the Iowa Events Center, today renewed their partnership with New Era Tickets to provide full-service ticketing for events held at the Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall, and Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.  Polk County and Global Spectrum chose New Era Tickets based on the company’s commitment to service excellence, drive to innovate event ticketing, and successful track record for leveraging opportunities for venues to continually increase their revenues.

“New Era Tickets provides the Iowa Events Center with a very flexible solution that can easily accommodate the needs of all our facilities,” said Global Spectrum's Chris Connolly, General Manager for the Iowa Events Center.  “With New Era Tickets, we found the technology and service partner capable of implementing one solution to support diverse arena events and shows.”

New Era Tickets empowers convention centers, meeting facilities, and sports and entertainment venues to take back control of their ticketing services.  The ticketing solution, powered by New Era Tickets’ sister company Paciolan, provides complete control over a variety of items including  transaction fees, branding, and customer data.  New Era Tickets supports each customized ticketing solution with seasoned 24/7 client service teams.

The Iowa Events Center is a public events complex located in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, and consists of Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall, and the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial.

Developed at a cost of $217 MM, the Iowa Events Center is the largest public project in Iowa history.

Wells Fargo Arena is Des Moines’ primary venue for concerts and sporting events since opening in July 2005 and seats up to 16,980. The Arena is home of three minor-league sports franchises including the Iowa Energy of the National Basketball Associations' (NBA) D-League, Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League (AFL), and the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wells Fargo Arena includes The Principal River's Edge (a 180-seat restaurant), 36 corporate suites, 20 loge boxes, and 630 club seats offering the finest in fan amenities.  Hy-Vee Hall features 100,000 square feet of space for trade shows, conventions, and other major events. It also features eight meeting rooms with a total of 15,000 square feet of meeting space.  Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center was renovated and reopened as a convention hall in January 2012.

In the past fiscal year, New Era Tickets’ sister company, Global Spectrum, helped facilitate 459 successful events at the Iowa Events Center, of which approximately 150 were ticketed using New Era Tickets platform. Both New Era Tickets and Global Spectrum are subsidiaries of the internationally recognized sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor.
