Chad Phillips - General Manager

Chad has worked in the sports and entertainment industry for twelve years and has measureable experience in ticketing, marketing, sales, operations, and management. As a highly energetic and creative leader with strong interpersonal skills, he excels at motivating others and creating a positive work environment while enforcing high standards within the corporate culture. Before joining New Era Tickets, Chad served as Vice President of Ticketing Operations and Services for the Charlotte Bobcats and Charlotte Bobcats’ Arena, and also worked as a Business Consultant for Paciolan, where he was involved with the implementation of solutions for their largest clients. Additionally, Chad created and operated RG Properties’ ticketing company, Select Your Tickets, and served as Director of Marketing, Sales, and Communication for the property management group as well.


Shawn Quek - Senior Director of Technical Operations & Business Development

With more than 15 years of IT experience specializing in hardware and software management, Shawn brings his great expertise in Ticketing System Infrastructure design, E-commerce Website Infrastructure design, and preparation for BCP/DRP and roll out, to his position with New Era Tickets. Previously, Shawn managed the IT department for SISTIC and oversaw the management of the ticketing system from application to infrastructure setup. He is also in charge of the deployment of the company’s solution to Hong Kong, China, Australia, Macau, and Indonesia and had first-hand experience running ticketing operations for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Shawn graduated with BSC of Business Computing and IT from University of Wales and would later receive multiple certifications from Sun Microsystems Brocade, Symantec and Oracle.


John Cross - Director of Special Project

A veteran of the sport industry, John brings over 25 years of experience in ticketing, box office operations, ticket sales, sales engineering, sales management and professional services, to his position with New Era Tickets. Formerly, he served as Director of Athletic Ticketing with Western Michigan University, Athletics Sales Manager with Paciolan, Inc., Sales Account Manager and Engineer with Paciolan, Inc., Access Management Consultant & Project Manage with Paciolan, Inc., and Sales Manager with the Sports Flooring Division of Sport Court, Inc. Through these positions, John was able to gain extensive experience in box office and sales team management, negotiating and managing large account sales, and installing and training staff to use ticketing-related software. John established a foundation for his career after obtaining his B.S. degree in Education and M.A. degree in Sport Management at The Ohio State University where he worked in the Athletic Ticket Office during all six years of his schooling.


Gangesh Chawla - Director of Finance

As a Chartered Accountant, Gangesh, brings extensive knowledge and experience in Corporate & Institutional Banking, Investment Banking, Trade Finance, Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management to his position as New Era Ticket’s Director of Finance. With over 20 years of experience in Auditing, Financial Reporting, Statutory Compliance, Project Management and Human Resources, he continues to make tangible contributions to company’s success through the utilization of his keen acumen of proper project management skills and IFRS implementation expertise. Prior to his term with New Era Tickets, Gangesh earned his B. Com (H) degree in 1st division from Asia’s best college for Commerce – SRCC, Delhi University and has also worked with Big 4 accounting firms in India and Singapore serving large and complex clients including MNC and Fortune 500 companies from Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Software, Media & Entertainment and Consumer Durables industry groups.


Clarence Lai - Senior Operations Manager

Clarence has been in the sales and client servicing industry for more than 18 years. After graduating from University of Northumbria with a Master of Arts in Marketing, Clarence has had extensive experience in running ticketing departments. Prior to joining New Era Tickets, he was previously appointed Ticketing and Accreditation Assistant Director in 2011 and 2012 of the Singapore Grand Prix, with responsibility for all aspects of the ticketing operations and accreditation. Clarence has also spent over 6 years with SISTIC, heading the Client Services Department. Primarily responsible for leading the Account Servicing team and the Event Operations team, Clarence works to ensure the effective delivery of ticketing and ticketing-related services to clients, show promoters or event organizers. With the ticketing team, he has also managed several large scale projects, including the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in areas such as events building, invoicing, orders fulfillment, and ticket inventory management for 201 events, in 26 sports, over at 18 competition venues.

Kate Harris - Ticket Operations Manager 

Kate is responsible for supporting the Singapore Client Services team in executing the day to day ticketing requirements for Singapore Sports Hub and their respective clients. She also oversees the operations of the Singapore Contact Centre and Customer Service team including the Box Offices. Prior to joining New Era Tickets, Kate has worked in Macau for the Destination Marketing Website, and also in Australia with Ticketmaster and Ticketek, managing State and National Accounts.

Roy Loo - Client Services Manager

As Client Services Manager, Roy oversees the Client Services team, who work directly with event promoters. Roy is responsible for ensuring his team properly fulfills all promoter requests and requirements and for encouraging the group to continue to build and maintain positive, evolving relationships with new clients by providing excellent customer service. Roy continually looks to implement new ideas and strategies to enhance New Era Tickets’ services within the promoter community. Prior to joining New Era Tickets Asia, Roy spent eleven years with the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay in Singapore, where he served as Box Office Manager for his last six years.


Fiona Ng - Human Resources Assistant Manager

Joining the New Era Tickets team in October 2013, as Human Resources Assistant Manager, Fiona oversees all aspects of human resources, including the compensation and benefits program, recruitment needs, HR policies and employee relations. Fiona graduated from Murdoch University with Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining New Era Tickets Asia, she held Human Resource generalist positions with DTZ Debenham Tie Leung (SEA) Pte Ltd, Pan-Malayan Pharmaceuticals Pte Ltd and OCBC Bank Singapore.
